If you are cooking chocolates at home, you do not want to serve them in typical bar shapes all the time. You also do not want to serve them as one big lump of chocolate. The shapes also have an impact when it comes to eating chocolates. Of course, it is better to eat chocolates in pretty little shapes than chocolates in irregular or uninteresting shapes. This especially works for kids. To cook chocolate sin different shapes, you have to buy yourself different kinds of chocolate molds. And once you have bought several chocolate molds in different shapes, you should know how to use them properly. Here are some tips.
• Make sure that your chocolate molds are completely dry before using them. As you know, chocolates are oily and water and oil do not mix. It will greatly affect your chocolate’s taste if there is water on the mold. Dry it thoroughly using a clean towel or napkin.
• When cooling the chocolates in the molds, make sure that they are not yet hard before placing them inside the freezer. If the chocolates are already hard when you place them in the freezer, they will look smoky and foggy, not shiny like good quality chocolates. You also have to take them out when they are hard enough so that the chocolate swill not absorb other flavours inside your freezer.
• Clean your chocolate molds regularly. Do not sue soap when cleaning your molds. Just wash the molds using warm water. Do not leave them out in the open to dry. Wipe them with a clean towel instead.
